| the turning of leaves this album represents a time of change in my life...it seems that is a common thread in my musical recordings. I really felt like I needed to do some refining during 2002-2003 and I was working at that process. It would take a few more years before I started getting it right but during the process I wrote this album. The title represents the beauty of the leaves dying in the fall, the bitter cold in between and the new life that springs up on the other side of the cold, dry, winter...for me...this album is my death, winter season and arrival of a new life. I really needed to start shedding off the old ways for a new outlook on life. Change is represented in this album on songs like "empty hands" & "i gave all". This album did not get much publicity, but it is really enjoyable for me to know that during this time, i wrote about what I was working on. I can look back, listen and remind myself of the songs and their importance to who I am today and still becoming... |
